KYTC warns of milling, paving along I-24 work zone | News
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Department says drivers who regularly travel through the I-24 work zone from the 10 to 16 mile marker in McCracken County should be aware of increased levels of activity starting Wednesday night.
Milling will start Wednesday evening with paving to follow on Thursday night. This work is being done at night to help minimize traffic delays.
According to KYTC, drivers should be alert for trucks hauling material to and from the work zone between about 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., each night for about the next week.
Drivers should also be alert for increased truck traffic along Husbands Road and Lane Road leading to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet McCracken County Maintenance Facility. Trucks will be hauling milling material to the facility for storage so it can be recycled for various uses at a later time.
KYTC said drivers should continue to use appropriate caution in this work zone throughout the day.
