PADUCAH, KY (KFVS)-
Jury deliberations in the case of a McCracken County man accused of murdering a two-year-old boy ended in a hung jury, according to McCracken County Commonwealth Attorney Dan Boaz.
He says since the jury could not reach a verdict, a new trial date has been set for January 30, 2012.
Ronald Saunders II is charged with one count of murder for the death of two-year-old Conner Bachuss.
Bachuss was found unresponsive in his home on December 5, 2010.
He was taken to the Lourdes Emergency Room and late to Kosairs Children's Hospital where he died.
The state medical examiner found multiple small puncture wounds on the bottoms of the boy's feet and other areas of his body.
A push pin tack was found in the boy's abdomen from when he had ingested it at some point.
The case went to the jury at 11:30 Thursday.
