PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) – A couple recently donated $100,000 to the Campaign for the Lourdes Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Dr. Wally Montgomery and Gerry Montgomery donated the money to the 10,000 square-foot Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center, which will bring inpatient hospice services to the Lourdes Care Center.
The Lourdes Foundation started a $7 million fundraising campaign in order to fund the construction of the building and to create an endowment fun for future patient needs.
The campaign is about $100,000 from reaching its goal.
Construction of the center is planned to begin in the spring of 2014.
