Restaurant raises money for St. Jude's with key tag fundraiser

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A fast food restaurant will be selling Frosty key tags for $2 to benefit kids fighting cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Participating Wendy's restaurants in the greater Paducah areas of Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois and Missouri will be selling the key tags from April 29 through June 30 or while supplies last. By showing the key tag on visits to the restaurant, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty with any purchase as often as they wish through Dec. 31.

Wendy's will donate at least 75 percent of the tag purchase price to support the research and care at St. Jude's.

McCracken Co. pizza places to host fund raiser night for KSP trooper killed

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Papa John’s stores in McCracken County will be holding a “raise the dough” night on Thursday January 31.

A portion of the proceeds from the night will be donated to the family of an off duty Kentucky State Police Trooper killed in a crash in Clark County last week.

Trooper Anson Blake Tribby, 25, of Mt. Sterling, Ky was driving his personal truck when he was involved in a crash on I-64 on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Trooper Tribby was a two-and-a-half year veteran with KSP and was assigned to the Morehead Post.

National breadstick tour rolls into Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A national breadstick tour will be making its way through Paducah Friday, July 6 through Saturday, July 7.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, more than 16 million American children are at risk of hunger. Fazoli's and Feed the Children, a non-profit organization, have come together for the "Fazoli's Breadstick Tour" which will make stops in 15 markets to raise awareness of childhood hunger.

In each city, employees of Fazoli's will bake breadsticks and volunteers from Feed the Children will hand them out in downtown areas, neighborhood parks and at local events.

Dueling chefs coming to Kenlake State Resort Park

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Twilight Theatre Productions will present "The Dueling Chefs" April 15-16 at the Kenlake State Resort Park.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. each evening with Kenlake's Chef Bob and a chef from Paducah's Artisan Kitchen competing to win the appetites of diners.

The meal will include gourmet Italian and Asian fare of appetizers, salads, main entrees and desserts that will be fixed in front of the audience.

The evening will cost $40 per person for the meal and experience. You can also stay overnight in the hotel at Kenlake.

Twilight Theatre Productions is a regional theatre production company based at Kenlake State Resort Park.
