Lone Oak's Scheer selected as Ky. Softball Coach of the Year | Schools
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Lone Oak Softball coach David Scheer was recently selected to receive the 2012 State Softball Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
Scheer has coached the Lone Oak High School softball team since 2008. In 2012 he coached the Flash to a record 40-6, achieving the most wins in Kentucky. The Lone Oak team finished as District and Region I Champions and state runner-up. Scheer was also honored as Region I Coach of the Year.
The NFHS Coaches Association is the official national coaches association of the National Federation of State High School Associations. The NFHS recognizes coaches at the state, sectional and national level.
