PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Engineering-Public Works crews in Paducah are out Wednesday working to complete the Tuesday and Wednesday trash collection routes.
However, the snowfall is making the collection process extremely difficult. Crews will work late Wednesdayday to try to finish the Tuesday and Wednesday routes.
However, if your street was scheduled for Wednesday’s collection and crews are unable to complete the routes, please leave your trash container at its designated collection point, according to the City of Paducah.
Crews may need to finish Tuesday and Wednesday routes on Thursday in addition to Thursday’s collection.
As a reminder for next week, there will no brush collection on December 31, and Tuesday’s (New Year’s Day) trash collection routes will be collected along with Wednesday’s on Wednesday, January 2.
The City of Paducah also is working to clear the streets. Watch for snow plows. As a plow makes its pass, it may leave a row of snow off to the side which may block driveways. The resident or business-owner is responsible for clearing the narrow row of snow. The City has 446 lane miles of streets, and crews are working to clear all of the roads as quickly and safely as possible.
